A Pattern Language for the Perception, Design and Implementation of Distributed Application Partitioning

چکیده
This paper presents a pattern language for the perception, design and implementation of distributed application partitioning. The pattern language describes a stepwise development which offers the following qualities: expressiveness and support of a wide range of user models; smooth transformation of an object-oriented model onto a client-server model; selective transparency; customization; incremental development, test and simulation. It considers partitioning issues at both the problem and the solution spaces, and identifies several distribution concerns associated with partitioning at the solution space. Each distribution concern is associated with solutions described as design patterns. The pattern language is RM-ODP compliant.

English Teachers' Perception of Critical Pedagogy: Any Discrepancy between Perception and Actual Classroom Implementation?
The study investigated the relationship between Iranian EFL teachers' perception of critical pedagogy (CP) and reflective teaching (RT), the possible effect of gender, academic degree, and teaching experience on teachers’ perceptions of CP, the possible differences among the three groups of teachers of universities, public schools and private language institutes regarding their perception of CP...
متن کاملHaplotype Block Partitioning and tagSNP Selection under the Perfect Phylogeny Model
Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) are the most usual form of polymorphism in human genome.Analyses of genetic variations have revealed that individual genomes share common SNP-haplotypes. Theparticular pattern of these common variations forms a block-like structure on human genome. In this work,we develop a new method based on the Perfect Phylogeny Model to identify haplo...
متن کاملIranian English Language Teachers’ Perception of Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) Principles and Challenges to its Implementation
This paper presents the findings of a study on Iranian English language teachers’ understanding of Task-based language teaching (TBLT) principles and perceived challenges of TBLT implementation in Iran. The data obtained from 100 respondents on a 39-item survey instrument and four essay questions analyzed through frequency statistics revealed that nearly 70 percent of teachers are cognizant ...
متن کاملPattern-Driven Partitioning in Designing Distributed Object Applications
One of the fundamental challenges in designing distributed object applications (DOAs) is application partitioning. Partitioning is a technique through which all the necessary partitions or components of the application, particularly distributable ones, are discovered. This research proposes a technique to help designers in partitioning DOAs such that a justifiable application structure is achie...
متن کاملExamining the Association between T-unit and Pausing Length on the EFL Perception of Listening Comprehension
Listening taking over half of the learners’ time and effort (Nunan, 1998), forms a basis for acquiring much of a language. There are factors affecting listening comprehension and its perception, such as the speech rate, phonological properties of the text, the quality of the recording, the learners’ anxiety, and listening comprehension strategies (Goh, 2000; Hamouda, 2013). At the Iran Language...
